GeoTrackMe - User Agreement

Summary

This page is the agreement itself, not a substitute for reading it. In short: GeoTrackMe shares your location only with people you approve, only while you leave sharing on, and only your latest position. You must not use it to follow anyone who has not knowingly agreed to it. Payments are handled by Apple and Google, and you can delete your account at any time from this website.

1. Who this agreement is between

This User Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Apppico ("we", "us"), the developer of the GeoTrackMe mobile application and its supporting services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not use the Service. Deleting your account ends the Agreement.

This Agreement works together with the GeoTrackMe Privacy Policy, which explains what data is processed and why. Where the two documents overlap, the Privacy Policy governs data handling.

2. Who may use the Service

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Users under 13 may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts this Agreement on their behalf and remains responsible for their use of it.

You are responsible for the account you sign in with and for anything done through it. Sign-in is handled by Google or Apple; we never see or store your password.

3. What the Service does

GeoTrackMe lets you share your device's location, in real time, with people you have explicitly approved — and lets you see the location of people who have approved you.

• Sharing is never automatic. It begins only after an invitation is accepted, and it continues only while your location sharing switch is on.
• Following is one-way. Accepting someone lets them see you; it does not let you see them.
• Only your latest position is kept. The Service does not build or retain location history.
• Locations are end-to-end encrypted. They are encrypted on your device for the devices of the people you approved. We cannot read them.

The Service depends on your device's location hardware, its operating system permissions, and a network connection. It is not a safety, emergency, medical or security system, and it must not be relied upon as one.

4. Consent of the people you share with — and of the people you follow

Location data is sensitive. You agree that you will use the Service only to share your own location, and only to view the location of people who knowingly and freely approved your request.

You must not use the Service to monitor anyone without their informed consent. That includes installing it on a device that belongs to another adult, accepting requests on someone else's behalf, or pressuring a person to share with you. Where a parent or guardian uses the Service to see a child's location, they are responsible for complying with the law that applies to them.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time by the person sharing, by pausing an individual, removing them, or turning sharing off entirely. You agree not to attempt to prevent, punish or circumvent that.

5. Things you may not do

• Use the Service unlawfully, or to stalk, harass, intimidate or endanger anyone.
• Attempt to access another person's account, location data or invite code.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, its encryption, or the servers behind it, except where such a restriction is prohibited by law.
• Interfere with the Service's operation, including automated or excessive requests.
• Resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe breaks these rules or endangers another person.

6. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use GeoTrackMe on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The app and its content remain ours; nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership.

7. Free use, ads and paid plans

GeoTrackMe is free to download. The free tier is supported by advertising and limits how many people you may follow. Paid options remove advertising and raise that limit.

Purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Their terms govern payment, renewal, and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings — not in the app.

Prices, plan limits and the plans themselves may change. If a change reduces what you already paid for, it will not apply to the period you have already been billed for.

Advertising is served by Google AdMob. In regions where consent is required, you are asked for it before ads are personalised, and you can change that choice later in the app's settings.

8. Availability, changes and interruptions

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. We will not remove a paid feature you are currently subscribed to without a reasonable notice or a refund route through the store that sold it.

The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, network failures, or platform outages beyond our control. Location updates may be delayed or missing when a device is offline, in battery saving mode, or has revoked location permission.

9. Ending the Agreement

You may stop at any time by deleting your account — from inside the app or from the Delete My Account page on this site, without installing anything. Deletion removes your profile, your shared location and your invite code, and it cannot be undone. If you only want to clear your data and keep the account, use Delete All My Data.

We may terminate or suspend your access if you break this Agreement, if required by law, or if the Service is discontinued.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that locations will be accurate, timely, uninterrupted, or available when you need them.

Do not rely on GeoTrackMe in an emergency. Contact the emergency services instead.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change is material, we will make it visible in the app or on this site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Agreement.

13. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and nothing here removes them.
