Last updated: December 28, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how OldMail ("we," "us," or "our") handles your personal information when you use our macOS application.

1. Data Collection and Usage

OldMail is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, email content, or usage statistics to our servers or any third parties.

  • Local Processing: All file operations, including opening .eml and .msg files, parsing email headers, and rendering content, are performed locally on your device (macOS).
  • No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel) to track user behavior.
  • No Accounts: The application does not require you to create an account or sign in.

2. File Access and Security

OldMail operates within the Apple App Sandbox environment, ensuring strict security controls.

  • User Selected Files: The app only accesses the specific files you explicitly choose to open via the "Open" button, drag-and-drop, or the "Open Recent" menu.
  • Attachments: When you choose to save or open an attachment, the file is processed locally and saved to the location you specify or opened with the default application on your Mac.

3. Third-Party Services

Our application does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or advertising networks that collect user data.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect user contact information, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
